The BVAS has been most fortunate with the opportunity to show our work at the Burnsville City Hall, viewed by city workers and those conducting business at the city hall, on a seasonal rotating basis.  The art is hung in city hall offices and meeting spaces for each season.  Any current BVAS member is welcome to participate!   Basic requirements include that the work be family friendly and be free from violence, drug use, or content related to a current elected political figure or candidate.  If you are a current member of BVAS, you may exhibit up to 2 paintings depending upon space availability; simply fill out the application below and bring with you on the day you drop off your work. (Space is on a first come, first served, basis the afternoon of the rotation.)

The maximum size of each piece is 24” x 30” (or 48” x 48” if submitting only one piece).  Pieces must be suitably framed or the edges painted on gallery wrapped canvas and must be wired and ready to hang. If pieces are larger than 22” on the largest side, they must be framed with acrylic instead of glass due to weight limitations for hanging.  You must provide 2 cards 3.5” x 2” on white index card paper with the following information: Title of the Piece, Name of the Artist, the Medium, the Size, the Price or a NFS indication.  One of these cards must be attached to the back of the piece. The other will be taped on the wall next to the piece.  Artists must agree to and sign a release form at the time of drop off.

If you have a piece currently showing or are about to have a piece presented in the next season, either you or your designated representative must be present during the designated pick up/drop off window on each of the rotation dates listed below.  The rooms in which the works are hung are working spaces for the City of Burnsville and we cannot disturb city business outside of our designated time windows.  Any artwork not picked up will be charged with a $15 per day holding fee and any artwork left unclaimed after 7 days becomes property of BVAS.  After 7 days, any artwork not claimed becomes the property of BVAS.  This is non-negotiable.
